Not Not His First Rodeo

A few years ago, I took Tim to his first rodeo. I think it was his first. If it wasn’t his first then it was his first in a long time.

We were sitting up in the bleachers amongst the locals watching the cowboys do their thing on the field. One event really stood out from the others, and I’ve never let Tim forget it.

The cowboys were racing across the field on giant horses chasing tiny calfs, roping them and tying them up, before flinging their hands in the air to stop the clock. Best times win, I suppose.

The best part was when one of the little calfs got away and my husband yelled at the top of his lungs, “RUN LITTLE BABY COW! RUN!”

They still let us visit Clackamas County sometimes, but they don’t like it.
